Catarina Buchatskiy

Co-founder, Director of Analytics

Co-founder of the Serpens Center for International Security, leading the Center’s research, analytics, and publications divisions. Previously at Stanford, studying international security and military history.

Oleksandra Berchenko

Operations Manager

Previously coordinated advocacy projects at Prince Claus Fund and European League of Institutes of Art. International Studies graduate from Rotterdam Erasmus University.

Maksym Terzi

Senior Analyst

Senior Analyst at SCIS. Holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Post-War Reconstruction from the Kyiv School of Economics.

Roman Kaleniuk

Analyst

Analyst at SCIS. Veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian War, serving in infantry all the way to battalion headquarters. Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Artur Savchii

Economics student at New York University. Previously worked in Ukraine’s IT sector and interned at Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Yelyzaveta Khomovska

Analyst

Analyst at SCIS. Holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics, and has previously worked as a researcher at Veteran Hub and Civil Network OPORA.

Previously worked in communications, branding, and social media management for Ukrainian educational and technology companies, as well as civil society organizations.

Tadey Sadovyi

Internship Program Coordinator

Graduated with a degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam and holds a master’s degree in War and Peace Studies from Leiden University. Previously interned in the International Partnerships Department at SCIS.

Viktoria Pomazan

Project Coordinator

Politics and International Relations student at University College London. Previously interned in the International Partnerships Department at SCIS and worked in business development in the defence sector in Germany, with additional experience supporting international defence exhibitions.

Artem Balashkevych

Junior Analyst

History, Politics and Economics student at University College London (UCL). Previously interned in the Defense Analytics Department of SCIS.

Maria Tomilenko

Digital Product Manager

Previously part of the Digital team in Tate Art Galleries’ Audience Innovation Department, with international experience across technology, strategy, and startups at organizations in the US, UK, and EU. Holds an M.S. in Technology, Culture and Society from NYU Engineering and a B.A. in Psychology from Columbia University.
